Overview
NEW: 1-1 Private Assessment Preparation Coaching is NOW AVAILABLE! Contact us for details at info@edgeplus.ca.
The “Magic 5” Pharmacist Practice Assessment (PPA) program by Edge Plus is ideally designed to accommodate:
- Pharmacy staff, managers, and owners with demanding schedules who lack the time to review all necessary assessment materials thoroughly and resources.
- Pharmacy owners and staff who have been away from daily dispensing duties and require a straightforward, efficient method to complete their assessments with confidence
- Pharmacists who wish to refine their practice skills, expand their scope of practice, enhance their communication abilities, and strengthen their professional judgment.
The program includes a fully loaded study drive along with two live, tutor-led online coaching sessions in private small groups, limited to just 3 pharmacists per cohort for maximum individualized attention and support. The practice assessment blueprint is designed around four key performance indicators:
- Patient Assessment and Interviewing
- Therapeutic Decision-Making and Professional Judgment
- Communication and Education
- Documentation and Follow-up/Monitoring
Under each of those Specific Performance Indicators, there are “guidance” criteria that this preparation course will cover each and every one of them or to assure full coverage of these 4 SPIs.
We will have four full-length drills on the four SPI’s using imaginary or real-life examples of an interaction starting from a new prescription, a refill prescription, and a medical check review, followed by appropriate decision-making, documentation, and finally communication, follow-up, and monitoring.
The programs feature comprehensive drills aligned with the assessment blueprints, incorporating both hypothetical and real-world examples. These examples cover a range of interactions, including new prescriptions, prescription refills, and medical check reviews, followed by appropriate decision-making, documentation, communication, follow-up, and monitoring.
The “Magic 5” preparation courses not only provide the tools to pass these rigorous assessments with confidence but also contribute to the advancement of your career. By improving your pharmacy practice skills, these programs enhance patient care, support professional growth, and promote personal development. Furthermore, they help improve pharmacy productivity and revenue, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes for patients.
